- First, relax. You have done a pile of work this year to prepare for this exam. You are prepared. You could take the test right now and do well!
- Next, review your summer homework and all of your notes. Organize your handouts.
- Review the books you have read this year. Look at the work you have completed.
- Language of Composition: Re-read chapters 1, 2, 3, 4 -- and especially look at vocabulary, but don't spend too much time memorizing WORDS. Understand CONCEPTS.
- Here are some tips from US News and World Report Education. Bottom line: clarity and directness.
- IN PROGRESS. BACK LATER.

The Posse Scholarship
Dear Juniors,
Please watch this 8-minute video about a unique scholarship opportunity, and see if you think you'd be a good match. If you'd like me to nominate you, please let me know by emailing me 2 sentences on why you'd like to be considered. This email came to all junior teachers from Mr. Garcia in the high school office. He says we can nominate 10-15 students schoolwide.

Middle Class?
Even though we're done with our economy essays, I thought this was pretty interesting. This article on the American "middle class" is pretty cool and spot on...

AF: A New and Helpful Document
I hope you find this helpful >>> Look over to the right where it says "Important Links," and at the top of the list it says, "Semester 2 Notebook Work". Somebody remind me, please, to keep this updated -- it's a very good idea.
A baby squirrel!
Please don't tell Hank I am sharing photos of squirrels with you.
I'm not sure he'd like it. It is hardwired into his pea brain that
he must catch a squirrel, and he will stop at nothing to get one.
